One of the proof prints of the main layer of the reverse (scale 1:1) of the 50 zloty banknote (issue 1925 or 1929, as these banknotes were realized in the same layout, only with different colors).
The present piece on cream paper with fine texture. Annotation "E 1925" on the back. Identical to the other one offered in this auction in terms of printing, though with weaker details of both ovals.
Dimensions: 140 x 100 mm.
Proof prints are the only surviving witnesses to the complex process of banknote creation. They are usually very rare, one-off qualities documenting the successive stages of production. They allow one to get a close look at the graphics of the individual layers or see details not visible on the final banknote. Included in the collection today, they give the collection a unique spirit of the era.
Print (print) of good quality, sharp, even with slightly perceptible and noticeable ink bulges. Cream gray paper, not smoothed, nevertheless with a noticeable sheen on the printed side.
A 1:1 scale print.
