Oskar Yulievich Klever (St. Petersburg 1887 - 1975 Leningrad) was the son and pupil of renowned painter Professor Julius Klever. He studied with Dmitriev-Kavkazsky in St. Petersburg. He first exhibited his works in 1906 and took part in the Autumn Exhibitions in St. Petersburg and exhibitions of the Union of Artists. He was involved in book design and illustration, and designed sets and theatrical costumes for the P. Gaideburov Theater in St. Petersburg. After the 1917 Revolution, his main fields of work were stage design and drawing. His works can be found in the State Museum of Literature, the Karabikha Museum N. Nekrasov, the Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense (Denmark), the Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, and the Russian State Archive of Literature and History.
