A landscape depicting the buildings of a rural farmstead with thatched wooden cottages, surrounded by a fence and lush greenery. In the background stretches an open expanse of fields with two monumental trees, over which heavy, stormy clouds swirl. The contrast between the dark foreground and the illuminated horizon creates a sense of anticipation and emphasizes the drama of the landscape. The work is executed in a free, painterly style characteristic of Polish landscape painting of the 1930s.
Signed in the upper right corner with an illegible signature and dated “38.”
Condition: good. Shows slight discoloration of the paper typical for its age, as well as minor signs of wear. Condition consistent with the photographic documentation.
