Sheaffer Grand Connaisseur set fp and bp In 1986, Sheaffer introduced a resin model called the “Classic,” initially available only in black. This model was designed as an homage to the 1920 Sheaffer “flat top” pens.
A “ flagship” version of the Connaisseur was produced at Sheaffer’s UK facilities; this was initially called “the European collection,” and was primarily distributed in Europe during its first year. Later, the production was moved to the United States, and the entire line of pens was renamed “Grand Connaisseur.”
The Grand Connaisseur line comprises 4 versions: Tortoiseshell Laque, Black Laque Gold Plated, and Sterling Silver. Each was fitted with an elegant two-tone nib.
This Gold Plated lined Grand Connoisseur (model number is 822) is unused and it is offered in set with ballpoint with its original presentation box.
