Aleksander Laszenko (Annówka 1883 – 1944 Włocławek) – Polish painter, traveler, and co-founder of the Association of Kuyavian Visual Artists. From 1901 to 1904, he studied painting at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts. In 1904, he graduated from the Konstantinovskaya Artillery School in St. Petersburg. He was one of the few Polish painters to focus almost exclusively on exotic subjects. His travels to Africa and the Middle East resulted in paintings depicting scenes from the lives of indigenous peoples, exotic animals, nature, and the architecture of ancient cities. His works have been exhibited numerous times in Poland (including at the Municipal Art Gallery in Łódź) and abroad.
