Adam Batycki (1886 - 1970). Painter and architect associated with the Poznan art community. Outstanding watercolorist, devoted to this demanding painting technique throughout his artistic journey. Born in Przemyśl and associated with that region in the interwar period, he often reaches for Hutsul climates and landscapes. During the Poznań period, he exhibited frequently and successfully at the local TPSP, belonging to the Association of Wielkopolska Artists and the "Ogniwo" art group.
The still life with roses presented at the auction, elegant and balanced in its composition, is painted lightly and sensitively, fully reflecting the scale of the author's talent. The work is signed "Batycki" right/bottom.
