Oil and acrylic on canvas, 110 x 80 cm, signed back 'Martyna Czech | Map of the Heart | 110 x 80 cm | oil & acrylic on canvas | 2017'.
About the Author: An emotional painter. Her painting is either loved or hated. This is because from her canvases beats pure unfettered fighting energy and dynamic expression. Martyna Czech's paintings are not to be looked at, but to be confronted often with the viewer's own fears and limitations. This expressive work has been noticed and awarded the main prize at the oldest painting competition in Poland: 42nd Bielska Jesień 2015 Painting Biennale. Czech herself often says that she is interested in extreme states and feelings. And that's why her paintings are so strongly marked by a post-humanist perspective. And for good reason, since Martina is committed to defending animal rights, and it is often humans who are on the losing end. As she explains, "I show negative emotions, human relationships. The theme of animals is important to me." In 2017 Martyna Czech was the winner of the Talents of the Three, and at the end of 2018 she was nominated for the Passports of Polityka. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. The author of many solo exhibitions, she is often invited to group exhibitions.
