Graduate of Art History at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She works in painting, art textiles, fashion and art criticism. She received the Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art for the realization of tapestries for the collection of the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz. Her tapestry designed by Prof. K. Cander entitled: "Hommage a Chopin" is in the above mentioned FP collection. H. Cander's self-portrait presented at the exhibition "Hallo" is in the collection of BWA in Bydgoszcz.

H. Cander is a member of the Association of Pomeranian Painters and Graphic Artists in Bydgoszcz, Bydgoszcz Art Association and was a member of its Board. The artist has participated in group exhibitions and individual fashion shows:
