Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics from 1961 to 1967 in the studio of Adam Marczyński. Representative of geometric abstraction. Painter, creator of spatial forms. He was involved in geometric abstraction already during his studies. He was interested in the relationship between the real and the imaginary world. The most important role in his works is played by light, space and color. The artist considered the choice of the language of geometry as a means rather than an end of his own work ("these are not considerations about geometry," he said). In his work, he alternated between introducing a varied color scheme or abandoning it in favor of monochrome. The work on display is a minimalist white relief whose optical effects are constantly modulated by light, deepening or flattening shadows. Diffused or frontal lighting makes the composition disappear into white.
