Biography
Painter, performer. Since 1976 he has been practicing performance and realizing artistic actions, collaborating with, among others, Jacek Rydecki and Zbigniew Libera. In 1980-84, in the cycles "Nihilism of the Intellect" and "Nihilistic Orgiastic Alliance", he combined drawings, photographs, painting, texts and films referring to philosophy, history and medicine. In 1984-94, during performances, he cut ambiguous symbols into his skin, which also appear in the series of paintings "Somnabulic Symbolic System" and "Pictosophy." In 1986-94, he continued political and symbolic themes in his installations. Since 2000, he has been creating paintings in the "Unus Dolor" series using banknote motifs.
