Initially studied mathematics at the University of Warsaw, and in later years also studied painting. Even before World War II, he worked at the 'Rysfilm' film studio in Warsaw as an animation illustrator. After the war, he continued to develop his skills related to film. He was a member of the Scientific Film Association and vice-chairman of the Board of the Educational Film Section at the Polish Filmmakers Association, as well as a member of ZAiKS and ZPAP. He tied his career to Lodz.
