The first series of paintings in which the artist used the sewing technique was created in the 1970s. He called it "Catalipomena" and referred in it to the problem of time. He cut raw pieces of canvas diagonally and sewed them together in such a way that they joined at the seam, at an angle. This construction of the painting was meant to bring to mind plowed fields - fields that provided the linen then used to create paintings. The natural material, aging, was meant to remind the viewer of the passing of time. "Catalipomena" was a harbinger and introduction to Kajetan's next, fourth and final, exploratory artistic concept, again based on the foundation of the sciences. These were Equilibrium Arrangements - mostly still sewn paintings, single and multi-colored, as well as wooden reliefs, built on the same principle. Compositions in this series consist of triangles of different shapes, but with a field always the same size. At first, there were four or five triangles; later, another field of equal size appeared, but broken into many small parts scattered in different parts of the composition."
