Karol Grams (Blonie 1937 - 1996) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1956-63, Faculty of Interior Design - specializing in industrial design. Poet, painter, social activist, author of many works in the field of industrial design. In 1963-69 he was a designer at the CBKO Design Center in Pruszkow, and from 1970 he worked as a designer at the Branch Design Center of the Central Bureau of Medical Equipment Maintenance. He participated in many collective exhibitions, including "Applied Art in the Fifteenth Anniversary of the People's Republic of Poland" at the Zachęta Gallery in 1963, and "Design for Society" in 1966. His more important works include: the design of an operating table, a defibrillator with self-power supply, a bed for the severely paralyzed, a dental chair, and the design of the "Metron" battery clock. He has received many awards for special achievements in the development of industrial design in Poland, as well as many awards and realizations in the field of interior design. His works are in collections at home and abroad.
