Biography
Sculptor, graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, she received her diploma in 1979 in the studio of Professor Jerzy Bandura. She works mainly in bronze, using the classical casting technique. Her work explores themes of existence, transience, as well as female identity and social roles of women. Her works are characterized by formal diversity - from dynamic, openwork forms to harmonious, organic silhouettes. Since the 1980s, she has participated in international plein-airs and exhibitions, including in France, Germany, Sweden and Hungary. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers and the "Polart" association. She has won numerous awards and scholarships, and in 2016 was awarded the Bronze Medal "Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis." Her works are in museum collections, including the Museum of Nowa Huta and the Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, as well as in private collections in Europe, the US and Japan.
