A monumental composition by Manuel Sabalczyk, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, painter, printmaker, and academic educator. The artist graduated from the Department of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice in 1974 and subsequently remained associated with the academy for many years as a lecturer, associate dean, and vice-rector.
Sabalczyk’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His works are held in both private and institutional collections. The painting offered here is an example of the artist’s mature work, combining his experience in painting with reflections on history and place.
