Marcin Zalewski, Rene, 2022

acrylic on canvas, 100,00 x 120,00 cm

Artist born in 1978 in Warsaw. Graduate of the High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane and the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He also works in sculpture and drawing, but, as he says, painting is closest to his heart. He has participated in many group and individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including Germany, Great Britain, the USA, Greece and Lithuania. His paintings are characterized by an unusual mixture of geometric abstraction and figurative painting, which delights with a mosaic of colors. In the compositions he creates, one can find both mythological and contemporary themes. What is most characteristic of the artist is his intercourse with color - combining various motifs and complementing the canvas with multicolored geometric pixels. Their unusual compositions delight and encourage us to find newer and newer meanings and our own interpretations of each painting.
