Full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (Department of Intermedia). Member of the International Association of Graphic Arts Triennials, Krakow. In 1984-2014 participant of all editions of the International Plein-Air of painters using the language of geometry organized by Bożena Kowalska. Wiktor's work is characterized by a special attention to order and geometric order of imagery. He achieves this by means of not only dry calculation and formal, disciplined reflections, but also intuition and states of contemplation. Metaphysical content, transcendental and mystical references find here a rigorous base in the experiences of, among others, Malevich, Mondrian, as well as thinkers-philosophers of the Christian tradition and the Far East. In Wiktor's paintings and prints, drawings, we see a fundamental play of mutual dual relations of construction elements: positive and negative, vertical and horizontal, light and darkness, filling space and its emptiness. In symbolic imagery here appear universalistic forms - signs: circle, square, triangle, cross, mandala, sharp-edged or full arc (semicircle), gate, gap, ray of light.2The artist works with extended in time series of works (for example, Collection 19, Black 1972, Collection 20, White 1974, Smolensk Threnody 2010).
