"BRAMA" is an oil print made using the algraphy technique .
It involves etching a graphic sketch on a metal plate covered with a thin layer of aluminum, and then applying one or more layers of oil paint. The paint sticks only to the etched areas, giving the painting its final shape. Nowadays, the ways of preparing the sub-image (metal sheet) and the ways of preparing and applying paint are heavily modified by the author ( compared to the classical recipes).
Wojciech Rogosz is the only one in Poland who has been working with this forgotten 19th century technique for over twenty years. The work has been made with the method of applying several colors of paint simultaneously using the wet-on-wet method, which is little known in artistic (workshop) graphics.
The author also applies paints here in a structural manner, (which is a rarity in graphic techniques).
