Biography
Born in Poronin, a graduate of the Antoni Kenar State High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane. Her interests include painting, sculpture, and dressmaking; she embroiders and sews corsets and skirts based on designs inspired by traditional highlander motifs. Rumian already has many achievements to her credit, including: the Grand Prix at the 3rd International Biennial “Remember the Gardens. After all, that’s where you came from…” in 2024, the Grand Prix at the 14th International Art Competition “Family Portrait—Archive of Generational Memory,” and participation in the “Young Zakopane” exhibition in 2024 and 2025. In addition, the artist is the recipient of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the 2024–2025 academic year and the winner of the “Golden Index” award.
