Unique decree of King Victor Emmanuel III countersigned by Benito Mussolini. Handwritten text on a form with the titulature of the King of Italy. The first part presents the legal basis and the second part the sentence. The decree concerns the granting of Italian citizenship to Mr. Vittorio Zirnstein, presumably a person of Jewish origin [sic!]. On the back are the handwritten signatures of King Victor Emmanuel III (1869-1947) and Benito Mussolini (1883-1945) as countersignature of the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. Very rare!

Period paper; at the top, date stamps dated December 20, 1935 and handwritten document signature numbers; in addition, stamp with court registry entry dated December 27, 1935; medium condition, fold mark in half, diagonal tear in upper margin at 2.5 cm over date stamp; in addition, right edge of document slightly frayed in one place with 0.5 cm tear.
