Henryk Jędrasiak (1916-2002) one of the 4 great designers of the Institute of Industrial Design next to Hanna Orthwein, Lubomir Tomaszewski and Mieczysław Naruszewicz, with whom he developed the style of porcelain intimate sculpture - simplified shapes, eliminated small decorative elements. He received his diploma in sculpture in 1953 from the Department of Sculpture at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. His main areas of work were porcelain, metalwork and sculpture. From 1955 to 1964, he was a designer at the Ceramics and Glass Department of the Institute of Industrial Design. Jedrasiak developed more than 20 designs of intimate ceramic sculpture - the most popular models include: Cat - Moonlight, Sitting Girl, Sudanka, Sexbomba, Fish, or Rhinoceros, as well as gallantry forms, including multi-armed vases. He was also involved in monumental sculpture, the author of, among others: the fountain at the Palace of Culture and Science, the tomb monuments of K. I. Galczynski and J. Tuwim at Warsaw's Powazki cemetery.
