Andrzej Dudek-Dürer - one of the most original and consistent figures of Polish contemporary art. Performer, photographer, graphic designer, composer and experimental musician, he creates installations, sculptures, environments and metaphysical-telepathic actions. In his art he constantly documents his own image and development of consciousness, believing in reincarnation and identifying with Albrecht Dürer as his seventh incarnation.
He has presented work at The Art Institute in Chicago, the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, the University of California at Berkeley, the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk and the Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, among others. He has received scholarships from the Ministry of Culture (2002, 2011), and has been awarded prizes from the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the Minister of Culture (2014).
His works are in numerous private and public collections, including the National Museums in Warsaw and Wroclaw, the Museum of Art in Lodz, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, MoMA in New York and the Tate Gallery in London.
