This atmospheric photograph by Edward Hartwig - one of the fathers of Polish artistic photography - takes us back to the times of postwar Poland, full of nostalgia, rebuilding and a momentary respite from history. In the center of the frame we see sailors, focused and thoughtful, resting on the shore of a lake with an accordionist accompanying them.
