Barbara Jonscher received an award for her oil painting "Don Quixote", which debuted at the famous National Exhibition of Young Visual Arts in 1955. Thus, the artist entered the ranks of the most important artists of the Arsenal generation. The "Don Quixote" series therefore occupies a very important place in her oeuvre.
