Provenance:
- the collection of Tomasz Bednarek, the son of close friends of Karol Kossak who lived in Ciechocinek for many years. The artist maintained a warm relationship with the family and often spent time with them. During Tomasz Bednarek’s childhood, Karol Kossak created numerous drawings, puzzles, and humorous sketches for him.
It was during his stays in Ciechocinek that he also created the well-known series of drawings “Kuracjusze” (“Spa Guests”), a satirical and keenly observant record of life at the spa.
