Biography
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and Warsaw. He worked in printmaking and painting. He was a member of the “9 Graphic Artists” group. He participated in numerous exhibitions—25 exhibitions in various European cities. For many years, he served as rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. He won many awards, including: at the 4th International Print Biennial in Ljubljana; the Critics’ Award at the “Contemporary Polish Printmaking” exhibition in Essen; an award at the 1st International Printmaking Biennial in Kraków; and an award at the International Biennial “Sport in Art” held in Madrid. He was a recipient of the Minister of Culture and Art Award and the State Award.
