The form suggests that the spearhead is from the 1920s, differing from the later spearheads of the Polish Red Cross. The Polish Red Cross was founded in 1919 with the support of Helena Paderewski and the Polish White Cross Society. During the interwar years, the Polish Red Cross functioned as a paramilitary organization, providing military training, purchasing military ambulances and courses.
