Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. She reaches for innovative artistic forms, creating objects from copper and silver. She is interested in: light and movement, optical illusions, fingerprints and poetry, which she seeks in plastic shapes. Two distinct creative paths appear in her work: plastic and literary. The results of navigating the first have been evident in past exhibitions; the second is present, among other things, in a volume titled "Time Sprung." Her poems have also entered the three-volume "Polish Poetry - Millennium Anthology." In her work, Joanna Ratajczak-Kurowicka practices poetry and fine arts. She integrates different fields by using her own techniques and unusual materials. She draws, paints and sculpts poetry, making it into spatial compositions in silver or copper, and writes her copper art fabric with wire. Her paintings sometimes resemble relief or bas-relief, and her compositions
photographic compositions are arranged into original series of paintings.
