SCHEUNER, Fabian, *De catharris*. (Medicine)

On Catarrh.

On all manner of discharges and catarrhs, both those originating within the skull—from the brain and its cavities—and those that invade the body’s various limbs, causing much harm therein, as well as those originating outside the skull, outside the brain / from the veins beneath the scalp that drain therefrom, / and from there flow downward beneath the skin into all external limbs and joints, causing them painful afflictions and ailments within / and penetrating them. How, with divine help, one may protect oneself from such conditions; furthermore, should anyone be afflicted by them, how to properly cure the same; and finally, how to ward off the symptoms of catarrh. All of this has been diligently compiled from sound medical principles and also drawn from experience, by Fabian Scheuner, M. (...). Leipzig 1605. Published by Henning Gross, bookseller. Printed in Eisleben by Jacob Gaubisch. (17 x 11 cm), [8] pp., 238 pp., [1], vignettes, decorative initials, parchment binding.
