The cinematography for the film, by S. Ivanov, was shot in Leningrad. Our production team spent a lot of time at the shipyard, where our work was accompanied by widespread interest and readiness to actively help. Workers pedantically paid attention to every detail of the staging and the fidelity of the scenery, helped us recreate all the details of the shipyard, lent clothes and even furniture. Meetings and conversations with shipyard workers helped us best understand and feel more deeply into the thoughts and experiences of our characters. Communing with contemporaneity always provides the artist with many new impressions that enrich his personality. This is what we felt while working on a film about a family of Soviet workers."
