Drawings made by artists were transferred to this single edition in woodcut technique, engraved by the best wood engravers of the 19th century, including full-page works by Jan Matejko, Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski, Elvir Andriolli and a total of 46 woodcuts, e.g..Juliusz Kossak, Józef Brandt, Jacek Malczewski, Aleksander Lesser, Ksawery Pilatti, Henryk Piątkowski, Józef Rosen, Henryk Rodakowski, Franciszek Żmurka, Henryk Siemiradzki, Stanisław Witkiewicz, among others.
The publishing house was established with the intention of supporting the hunger strikers in Upper Silesia. Hundreds of authors included here graphic works, letters, poems, notes. Under each work original facsimile of the author.
