Giovanni Battista was an Italian watercolor painter, known mainly for his landscapes of southern Italy, especially Naples, Capri and the surrounding area. His technique was mainly based on watercolor and gouache, which allowed him to achieve the soft tonal transitions and luminosity characteristic of the Italian landscape.
