He was a student of L. Wyczółkowski, whose work - like that of J. Stanislawski - had a great influence on him. He made frequent trips to Italy and France. He painted landscapes and portraits, and later designed stained glass windows. In 1913-1930, he was a professor of drawing in Krakow gymnasiums. He was a co-founder of the Union of Polish Artists (circa 1915). He participated in many exhibitions including: Exhibition of E. Czerwenka and Z. Stryjeńska, Krakow (1928), Exhibition at TPSP, Krakow (1921, 1929, 1934), "Wojciech Weiss and his students", TPSP Krakow (1934), Exhibition of TZSP in Warsaw with "Group of Four".
