Royal Navy flugel trombone, Bartolomeo Scalafiot

The octagonal bronze barrel passes over the ring into a cylindrical one, ending with an enlarged oval mouth measuring 3 x 6 cm. On the barrel in the area of the chamber a silver-plated anchor under the royal crown. Flint lock signed 'Scalafiot and Turin'. The weapon is all-painted, walnut stock, iron fittings. On the bow the inscription 'Gli uffiziali della/RN Santa Barbara/28. Dic. 1786'. Kingdom of Sardinia, Turin 1786, length 61 cm. Bartolomeo Scalafiot is commemorated in Turin between 1781 and 1798.
