Hand closed, brass frame, nickel-plated. Socket-shaped, four-barrelled yoke. The rear arm of the hilt ending in a teardrop curled towards the head. The front arched arm forms the main bail with a slot at the head for a sling. Three side bails, strongly curved, connect in the middle with the main bail. The shaft of the handle made of black stock, transversely fluted and laced with brass filigree. The long cap extends to the hilt, attached to the ring at the bottom, riveted with the headstock at the top. The blade is steel, straight, nickel-plated, lenticular in cross-section, double-edged. From the pawl to the beginning of the pen profiled on both sides in a single furrow (furrows staggered with respect to the axis). Feather with a burr, the hilt is symmetrical. On the outer side, under the cap, a piston of the manufacture "A. GIROULT/PARIS/16. RUE COQUILLIERE". The butt is steel, nickel-plated. Neck fixed in scabbard sheath with rivet, one riffle with movable butt, spur symmetrical.
