The badge was worn on the left shoulder, as a distinguishing mark of the 5th Border Infantry Division, which was part of General Anders' 2nd Polish Corps, took part in the Italian Campaign including the Battle of Monte Cassino.Exclusive" workmanship, privately purchased in Italy.
