artist of Bulgarian origin, self-taught. His works are in many private collections, including Portugal, Spain, Norway, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, USA and Argentina. In the early 1990s Vasilev lived and worked in Las Vegas. At that time, his numerous solo exhibitions took place in New York, Washington, Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, among others. In his painting he strongly refers to the Byzantine tradition, to which he gives a completely different dimension by introducing elements of humor and grotesque.
