Kamila Wojciechowicz (b. 1991, Fitzroy)
In 2013, she received her Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in Prof. Smolnicki's studio, and in 2015 she graduated with honors from the MA in Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts in London. In June 2015, she received an honorable mention for her "Bestiary" in an international competition organized by 3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration. In 2015, she won the 7th edition of the Italian Concorso Buenos Aires competition for her series "Setting the Stage" and "Salamander" from "Bestiary." In the same year, the artist's first solo exhibition "Phantasmagoria" took place at the Couple of People Gallery. She also took part in a group exhibition at 8 Plus Gallery. She exhibited and sold her works at the 7th Art Fresh Festival, in March 2016. She took part in the group exhibition "Sun and Soil" at the Informal Gallery. In June of this year and was a double award winner in the 3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration competition, in New York. In July 2016, she won second place in the "Generation of Young Artists" art competition. In September/October 2016, she participated in a two-week artist residency in Beacon, New York, culminating in an exhibition at The Red Barn. In the same month, she held her second solo exhibition at "Fochy and Fanaberie" gallery in Warsaw. In March 2017, she participated in the 8th edition of the Art Fresh Festival and was again invited to an artist residency in Beacon, in May 2017. The final exhibition this time will be held at a gallery in Manhattan, New York.
