German painter and printmaker, living and active in Zgorzelec. He studied in Kassel, Berlin and at Weimar. During the 1st war he served in the army as a painter. He exhibited at the Kunstverein in Darmstat, among other places. He painted landscapes and genre scenes, and from graphic techniques he practiced etching and lithography. He is the author of the portfolio "Beautiful old Görlitz," published in 1922.
