The reverse of the offered antoninianus refers to the old idea of Eternal Rome (ROMA AETERNAE - Eternal Rome). In the case of Philip, whose reign fell on the 1000th anniversary of the city, it takes on special significance, although the ceremonial celebrations were celebrated in 248 AD, when a slightly different emperor's titles on the obverse of his coins were in force.
