High grade forgery, struck in copper and gilded. Great style sensational lettering, perhaps minted at a legitimate mint as mint abuse, giving illegal profit to miners, fraught with the risk of an executioner's axe.
In the latest and most accurate catalog on Dutch ducats by D. Jasek's "Gold Ducats of Netherlands" we find ducats that are forgeries of the period from 1650, 1654, 1802(forgery from Russian lands?) among others, all without images with reference to historical auctions, but no such coins for the 18th century.
Due to its high denomination, a very rare numismatic coin that can be a curiosity in a collection of ducats as well as an important item in specialized collections of forgeries. Weight 2.53gr
