On the obverse: crowned S, letters I-F on the sides; legend SOLIDVS (Lewart) RE POLO, on the reverse: crowned coats of arms, in cartouches, of the Crown and of Lithuania, below a Vasa sheaf in a cartouche; legend SIG 3 D G R(Snopek) P M D L 97 . Legend unlisted in Kopicki's new catalog. Type formerly attributed to the Poznan mint, now attributed to the Lublin mint due to similarity of style with other denominations from the Lublin mint. The crown shillings of Sigismund III Vasa, are exceptionally diverse coins minted at several mints, constituting an interesting and still undervalued collector's subject. Despite so far, not very high rarity ratings in catalogs, most of them are extremely difficult to collect due to poor minting in coinage silver - here a decently preserved piece in an old patina.
