The obverse features three Derby antelopes (Derby elands), along with the name of the Bank of Central African States and the date 1976. The reverse features the denomination “1 Franc” surrounded by a composition of crops.
The coin is struck in aluminum. Weight: 1.32 g; diameter: 23 mm. Minted by the Monnaie de Paris.
Catalog mintage for the 1976 issue: 4,000,000 pieces.
The coin is from the "Coins of All Nations" collector’s series issued by The Franklin Mint and comes in its original envelope with a postage stamp and postmark.
The envelope is complemented by a 1983 postage stamp from the People’s Republic of the Congo with a face value of 45 francs, depicting traditional blacksmiths at work.
The envelope was postmarked in Brazzaville on June 8, 1983.
The issue is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from The Franklin Mint.
