Sigismund I the Old, 1534 grosz, Toruń – crowned
Bust of Sigismund I the Old, crowned and in armor (Romanesque type 8A). The shoulder guard consists of four elements. The collar of the armor consists of five parts. Rivets on the shoulder guard and collar.
A variant of the Royal Prussian Eagle with a slender torso and tail (Romańczyk type 5A). The wings consist of six feathers. A hand holding a sword on the left side.
A variant with an inscription featuring the king’s title ending in … PRVSSIE and a rim inscription on the reverse reading GROSS … PRVSSIE
A punctuation variant featuring a small rosette dividing the rim inscription on the obverse and a large rosette dividing the rim inscription on the reverse.

Minor localized undercuts, but a beautifully preserved piece. Good detail. Brilliance and plenty of mint luster. High NGC grade. An attractive coin.
