A very nice piece for a three-grosz coin from the Poznań Mint. It has the shallow strike typical of that mint, but with a rare, natural surface luster.
A variant featuring the mint mark of the mint director, Teodor Busch, on the right, and the date to the left of the Przegon coat of arms.
Additionally, this is a rarer variant without the characteristic error in the word “king” (REX instead of RE•X).
Iger described this obverse die (but combined with a different reverse) as a POTO error (with an inverted T instead of an L); however, the typeface of the T differs from that in the monarch’s name.
