Natalia Radysiuk (b. 1990, Polesie, Ukraine) is an artist living and working in Warsaw, primarily working with artistic textiles. In 2013, she graduated with a degree in artistic textiles and costume design from the Mykhailo Boychuk Kyiv Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts. Since 2023, fabric has become the primary medium of her artistic practice. Through slow, repetitive, and manual processes, she explores and transforms states of anxiety, emotional overload, uncertainty, and internal tension shaped by personal experiences, relationships, and the impact of war. Her practice focuses on the body, memory, and the emotional dimension of experience, treating the creative process as a form of mindful processing and transformation. In her work, Radysiuk explores themes of femininity, empathy, care, and mental resilience. She perceives fabric as a safe, grounding space where complex emotions are not merely represented but retained, processed, and materially transformed. Her works exist on the boundary between object and process, combining the materiality of fiber with emotional experience. In her practice, she uses hand-weaving and wet-felting techniques to build organic structures with a strong, tactile quality. In addition to textiles, she also creates paintings; however, it is the textile medium that has become for her the most complete means of expressing experiences related to memory, trauma, migration, and the rebuilding of a sense of security. Her work draws on personal experiences while addressing universal themes of fragility, interpersonal relationships, and inner transformation.
Radysiuk has participated in group and solo exhibitions in Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, and Latvia. Her works have been presented both in art galleries and as part of international projects dedicated to contemporary art, artistic textiles, and social dialogue.
