Russia, Provisional Government, Token 1917

Out of the mass of Provisional Government tokens, there are two types, the shape and size of which (28 mm in diameter) can be attributed to medals with the inscription: "Fighters for the Fatherland and Freedom 1917" and "1917 for freedom fighters". They are popular with collectors and occupy a place of honor in their collections. They were produced by a private Moscow Kuchkin factory. The obverse of the first token shows St. George Victory on horseback, striking the dragon with a spear (turned left). On the reverse, on the left, similar to old medals, palm, laurel and oak twigs tied at the bottom with a ribbon, and on the right-hand side, a four-line inscription "БОРЦАМ - ЗА РОДИНУ - И СВОБОДУ - 1917 г.". Below, on the right-hand side, on the very edge, a small inscription: “Fab. D. Kuchkin Moscow ".
