"Color, above all, color has a meaning for me. In fact, I have always been fascinated by the Impressionists. This is said in the environment to be an old, outdated story, but I have never chased fashion, and I came to the conclusion that despite everything, despite moments of breakdown , one must remain true to oneself." ("Memory and Image. Jerzy Pogorzelski painting and drawing", Municipal Art Gallery in Częstochowa, Częstochowa 2007, pp. 15, 95).
