Mikalojus Povilas Vilutis (b. 1953) is one of the most outstanding and distinctive masters of contemporary Lithuanian graphic art, born in 1953 in Vilnius. In 1977 he graduated from the Lithuanian Art Institute (now Vilnius Academy of Arts), where he received a degree in graphic design. Since his graduation, he has been actively participating in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad, and his work has quickly become distinguished by its original style, combining precise mastery of the line with symbolic, metaphorical content.
Mikalojus Povilas Vilutis is one of the most outstanding and original masters of contemporary Lithuanian graphic art, distinguished by his unique drawing, strong symbolism and provocative aesthetic attitude. His work is appreciated for its ability to combine technical mastery, philosophical content and a witty, sometimes ironic relationship with reality.
