Józef Czerniawski - painter, stage designer, author of installations, creator of murals and advertising facades. Studied at the Painting Department of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk, received his diploma in 1977 in the studio of Prof. Kazimierz Śramkiewicz. In 1978-1979 he worked at the Feature Film Studio in Lodz as the second stage designer. In 1999, he became an assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He was a co-founder of the "Cox" art group, as well as the Pomeranian Association for Integration of Cultures and Art "One World" based in Sopot, where he served as president. He was a member of the SFINKS Foundation (Sopot Forum for Integration of Science, Culture and Art). He participated in dozens of group exhibitions and realized many individual exhibitions.
